One Day, Three Expo

Yesterday, my gf and I embark on a one day, three expo mission. First we had a quick at the food fair before heading for the Kitty Lab. This Kitty Lab admission tickets doesn't come cheap. It cost $38 per head. So why were we still going there? I won a pair of free ticket to Kitty Lab in an contest. So far, this is the most expensive tickets I have won.

The concept of this Kitty Lab is to show case the 35th anniversary of Hello Kitty. Hello Kitty had a failed experience in creating another Hello Kitty known as "KTA". It ended like a cloud shown below. So our mission is to help Hello Kitty complete KTA by completing all the 12 stations found in the Kitty Lab. It consists of mock-up building of Police station, playground, shopping centre, bakery, car showcase, hospital and many more. Each station we visit, we are required to complete a task which will add a feature to your KTA. By placing the KTA like equipment on each station, you will be able to play the stations. Completion of all 12 stations will give u a Card on what your KTA character is like.

We took quite a few photos and it was really fun. We took shots on all the things we could find in the mock-up Kitty world. At the end of the tour, we purchased a photo and it provides stickers for us to decorate the photo frame. To round it off, there is a booth outside whereby it uses ZapCode to detect the character on your card from the webcam. It will captured the animation from the character and add it to the photo. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and fun for both of us but the prices are a bit steep. Kitty Lab is at Expo Hall 1 till 29 Nov.

After all the fun, we went to John Little Sale. Oh my, the queue look like a long snake, buying things is almost impossible. We then sneak back to food fair to top up our stomach before heading back him. One Day, three Expo.

Report...Party World K

After Thursday, a huge load of pressure will be release. The final report will be submitted and what is left is to wait for two weeks more before the conclusion of the internship. Writing report sometimes can be a daunting task. You have to write in such a manner whereby the reader understand what is you are doing. After many rounds of vetting, I still got a bit of doubt that my reader will understand fully. I mean it is a technical report and is different from a report talking about your experience.

Sometimes I will be bothered whether to include all the Java codes for this report. Some terms used by Java like Hashtable, Comparator are things that you find exclusively to Java only. Anyway, I ended up using my imagination to draft out something than putting Java codes in the report which is useless. My tasks is make more difficult with the number of projects I have done. The reports seems to multiple and is proportional to the number of projects. The recommended limits is really not fair to me. This is a very expensive report mainly due to the number of credits it contains.

Had a KTV session with my dar at Yishun Safra. First time the two of us sing together. We had the whole room to ourselves and sang for 4 hours straight till the voice is hoarse. She selected those trendy to latest song, while I selected those golden era songs. We had so much fun singing and dancing. So tired though but definitely would want to do this again.

Well, it had been a while since...

Well, it had been a while since I last posted. Today is the first day of November. Two more months before this 2009 will end. It had been a turbulent year for most people around the world. First fighting off the effects of a global financial crisis followed by the H1N1 and the numerous natural disasters occurring around the world. Hopefully the things will be rosier towards the end of the year with the festive season coming up.

Towards the end of last month, two of my cousins have got married. The pride and happiness on my grandma face was indescribable. Witnessing his grandson getting married was as exclusive as having a seat in the F1 stand. Wedding is always the place where you get to see relatives that you haven't seen in ages and the curiosity of finding out whether you have seen them before. The wedding ambiance was impressive with a nice backdrop of the city background; very seldom hotel have this kind of setting which is the usual "cover-up" banquet. The hotel name is Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. Before reaching, the taxi driver which my family boarded already describe the food and the ambiance of the hotel. Also, we witnessed the exchanging of vows between the newly wed couple and thanking everyone for coming. I wish them a blissful marriage.

Well, for my internship, is coming to the end. With a month to go, I will be wrapping up all my ongoing projects and the reports. The lunchtime kakis will the one I solely missed. They just talk everything from school, relationship beside work matters. The importance of lunchtime, is very much a short break from work, take your mind off everything. I will also miss my "Balik Kampung" kaki, whom we met everytime we head home. We chat over the ride home on food, NS, soccer and cars. Indeed, it had been a fulfilling internship without these guys to bring back the norm of social interaction and values.

Lastly, I hope my gf will be strong to pull through these difficult times at work.
